Grey Hair

Grey hair makes you look older…so not true. Okay gray hair is something we do link to old age, as we do with wrinkles, however, going grey at a young age shouldn’t have you feel it’s the end of the world, and that you look any more haggered than you do already, if that’s the way you feel right now.Grey Hair

Is Grey Hair A Problem For You - Why? When You Can Get Back The Colour You Once Had. What You Need To Help You Do This Is Right Here!

Just because grey hair is something we associate with natural aging, doesn’t mean if you’re hair goes grey over night it puts an extra wrinkle on your forehead, around your neck, or under your eyes.

Gray hair is sexy and projects an image of sophistication I’ll have you know. You only have to look at UK TV presenter of the Cube and Morning TV Philip Scholfield, whose black hair turned white overnight. And because he looks cool and sexy his career has scaled to great heights. So, not only is gray hair something you need to consider as an asset, but by keeping it the light shade you can save a lot of money and time. I say, give yourself time to adjust to your new image, and you may just get to love the colour and keep your hair healthy…free from damaging agents contained in hair dyes that’s formulated to cover grey hair.

Grey Hair

One main cause for premature graying is lack of oil production by the oil glands in the hair follicles on the scalp. This can be damaging to the health of your hair alone, regardless of your worry being about the color. In-ample oil can cause a loss of nutrition to the hair, thus causing change of color. While nourishment needed for the hair to keep color and sheen should come from within, there is no way to provide this from the outside, so therefore you need to look at ways to do this.

To prevent premature graying, (going grey before the anticipated time) you need to change a few things in your day to day living habits. Unhealthy foods, stress, lack of vitamin B and other minerals like iodine, copper and iron are a few other factors that can cause hair problems. Also, improper hair maintenance can be more damaging than good, so you need to look carefully at how you treat you’re hair when caring for it.

Going grey early can be a hand me down issue (heredity.) It can also be the result of an illness. B12 deficiency or thyroid imbalance can also cause hair to go grey.

Before using any unfamiliar hair products or using remedies or solutions of any sort to cover grey hair, it would be in your best interest and the health of your hair to seek professional advice. This can come from your doctor or hair care specialist like a hairdresser. Too many accidents, some very serious have happened due to advice of this nature being ignored. Do yourself a favor and keep the grey hair, or at least protect yourself from harm while trying to get rid of it.

Pruritis Ani

Pruritis Ani

Is Pruritis Ani common in women? Yes it is, but more so in men. Anyone can have an itchy bum or bottom just like we all can have an itchy head or feet etc.  “Pruritis ani” is the medical term used for rectal itching. When you look for statistics on how many sufferers of this condition there is, it cannot be determined accurately because many people who suffer from this problem are too embarrassed to come forward and get treated.   Doctor’s call chronic rectal itching pruritus ani–Latin for anal itching.

There are several possible reasons why the dreaded Pruritis Ani occurs. Bum itchiness can be linked to haemorrhoids; Haemorrhoids affect 50% of the population by the ripe old age of fifty. Other reasons could be allergic reactions to scented soaps or other similar products; particular beverages like coffee, tea or alcohol are known causes also, Consumption of citrus fruits and chocolate are other named bowel irritants.

The less the bowel becomes irritated will lessen any itch. You could try soothing around the anus by rubbing on petroleum jelly. Apply the jelly to the specific spot where the itch usually occurs. This can help reduce the itch, stemming any urge to scratch. After using the lavatory clean your bum thoroughly and especially more so after bowel movement. Use soft toilet paper instead of the harsher brand of toilet tissue. Wet wipes are good at this time to help clean around the anus. If you don’t have any then dampen some tissue to remove any leftover sticky stool waste. “If you’ve wiped a few times and your bottom still isn’t clean then use a larger cloth like a flannel to wash and rinse away stubborn debris.Always wash your hands after using the toilet to avoid spreading germs.

To help prevent Pruritis Ani dry the bum thoroughly. A wet bottom irritates the skin around the anus causing you to scratch. Like stated earlier you must not, if you have an itchy bum use scented products in and around the genitals. To keep the genital area itch-free, choose mild unscented soaps for bathing and washing. If your problem with rectal itching persists – then you must ask your doctor or pharmacist about different medications to use to get rid of the itch. This is an embarrassing condition; however you should not let it stop you from seeking treatment.

Try not to scratch the itchy area. Scratching produces more damage, which in return makes the itching  worse. Also if the skin is torn through scratching it leaves opening for infections. Avoid moisture in the anal area. If you sweat a lot then wash regular and change underwear frequently.  Apply either a few wisps of cotton, 4 x 4 gauze, or some cornstarch powder to keep the area dry. Sweaty genitals are not only reason for causing itchiness, it can bring unpleasant odors.

Pruritis Ani could also be a result of worms but this is more commonly seen in young children, however it still doesn’t mean this could not be the reason behind why you have an itchy bum. It is best for your GP to determine your condition in case it may be something else that is not easily treatable at home, and requires medical attention. Other manly conditions aside from Pruritis Ani.
